Steve Park is the founder and Executive Director of Little Lights Urban Ministries, a DC ministry serving underserved children, youth, and families living in public housing. He lives in Ward 8 with his wife and two children and is passionate about seeing unity in the Body of Christ. Fun fact: Steve grew up in Houston and is a die-hard Rockets and Astros fan. #Fearthebeard #HoustonStrong.

Brian Bakke is from the city of Chicago. He led ministries that impacted children, homeless women, senior adults, teens, and young adults in the Uptown neighborhood. He co-led a citywide ministry that brought youth together for Bible study and basketball and organized a movement that removed hundreds of illegal liquor stores across the city. He and his wife Lisa moved into DC in 2001, where he introduced himself to neighbors by sweeping the streets of his neighborhood. He served as a Board Member and staff of the Mustard Seed Foundation to help small inner-city churches create new neighborhood outreach projects. He is also an artist working on a series of lithographs and etchings that depict life in the inner city. He is still sweeping.

Keesha lives in Bethesda, MD and works in Higher Education. Her church home is Citizen Heights. She once heard in a class that “Politics is personal, and the personal is political.” In that same fashion, diversity, equity & inclusion work is the responsibility of us all, and as Christ-followers, we are more compelled to believe we have a greater responsibility in modeling Heaven here on earth. Her favorite Restaurant in DC is Blue44 DC in Northwest DC and her favorite D.C. activity is running along the Potomac out towards Reagan National Airport.

Ted Wohlfarth founded EnTeam – a non-profit organization that uses EnTeam Games to keep score of improvements in collaboration between teams. Educators use EnTeam Games to promote social-emotional development and collaborative learning. Before founding EnTeam, Ted conducted market research for 16 years, taught economics for six years. Ted has a doctorate in education from the Center for Character and Citizenship at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Ted and his wife Angela enjoy playing with their children and grandchildren in California, Colorado, DC, and Maine.

Sean Williams is lifelong resident of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He attends Grace Community Church Arlington Virginia and strives to serve for the kingdom of God in a broken world. Sean spends his time assisting his customers in researching their family history, in his genealogy consulting.

Anna Laura is a first generation Italian American, committed conflict resolution practitioner and dedicated mom to her dog, Leo. She was a DC resident for 12 years, attending/serving a neighborhood church, teaching in DC schools, and working with youth involved in the legal system. Now a resident of Virginia, she continues her commitment to mercy and justice. She attends St. Athanasius and St. Timothy Coptic Orthodox Church with her husband.

Dr. Michelle Edwards is the Executive Director at Live It Learn It, an experiential learning education nonprofit in Washington, DC. Her concern for people, especially children of color and those in poverty, has been demonstrated through her career as an educator as well as her membership in Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. and through her recent roles as Director of Missions, Kids’ Ministry and Prayer. Michelle loves the Lord, her husband, her children, her beagle, Beauty, and people in general.

Kate Denson is on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as the Washington DC Justice programs director creating service-based education opportunities for college students to engage in biblical justice. She attends Christ City Church where she serves as a small group leader. Kate and her husband JR recently welcomed their first baby Alexander Douglass. She moonlights as a licensed dc tour guide, including one job where she dresses up as Martha Washington.

Kat Thomas Frack was raised in Birmingham, AL just miles away from the most historical landmarks of the Civil Rights movement. She earned a B.A. in sociology from Samford University with special interests in public health and youth development. She works with Live It Learn It team where she can cultivate that curiosity in the hearts and minds of young students right here in Washington, DC. When Kat is not working, you can find her training for a long race, birdwatching with her husband, or adding more houseplants to her endless collection.

Nathalie Reshard was born in Miami, Florida. A graduate of the University of Alabama and University of Central Florida, Nathalie has spent her career in the sports industry. She spends her time enjoying family, building businesses and bringing justice to the small areas of her life. She attends Community of Hope Church and loves biking around DC.

Alleceia M. Walker is a dedicated Servant Leader and proud mother of an adult son. An esteemed graduate of Howard University, she is also an active member of Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, MD. Since 1991, Alleceia has passionately devoted her life to community service, founding and leading transformative programs. Committed to faith-based service, Alleceia is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and other national organizations, and she actively serves on various committees and boards in Chicago and Washington, DC. As the Founder and COO of The I.M.P.A.C.T. Difference, she leads efforts to meet diverse community needs through innovative programs and initiatives. Currently, she is developing The I.M.P.A.C.T. Difference Leadership Academy and advancing her international initiative, “Reconnecting Africa… One Country at a Time,” which focuses on sharing academic resources and facilitating meaningful service projects across Africa.
